This special Release Party is designed with dancers' needs in mind. All forms of dance can carry the potential risk of injury due to overuse, repetitive stress, poor posture, and muscular imbalance. Whether you are a ballet dancer, a belly dancer, a salsa dancer, or just like to boogie in your living room, this party is for you!

Back, hip, leg and shoulder tension can inhibit the freedom of movement and joy we seek to receive from dancing and everyday movement. 

Yamuna® Body Rolling can assist dancers in cultivating a smoother range of motion, increase flexibility and core strength, release muscle tension and stress, and prevent common dance injuries to knees, hips, back, neck and shoulders.

Yamuna® Body Rolling & Foot Fitness routines help you avoid common injuries caused by muscular tension and imbalance, and structural misalignments. Yamuna® will help you quickly improve your posture, and the core strength to support it with ease. 

When you learn how to use the YBR® routines to understand your own anatomy and address your own body's needs, you learn how to unwind and release the tension, stress, pain, old and new injuries, and trauma, while learning to identify and unlock unconscious postural habits that limit range of motion and enjoyment of daily life.  A Yamuna ball is like having your massage therapist, physical therapist, chiropractor and personal trainer available to you every day, all day long. The power to heal yourself is now in your hands. 

This YAMUNA Release Party will roll you through the basic Yamuna® Body Rolling and Foot Fitness routines that you need to easily build a personalized self-care home practice. This class is suitable for beginners as well as those who would like to review and deepen their commitment to Yamuna®. 
After you have been thoroughly released, reset and renewed, you are then invited to roll right into a short and sweet happy hour with a little wine and hors d'oeuvres ~ a chance to enjoy the deep relaxation and lasting affects of the practice, as well as the beautiful surroundings and hospitality of our dear friend and host, artist and sculptor, Sydney Reichman.

This Ultimate Back Release Party is designed for anyone who suffers with back weakness, stiffness, pain, herniated discs, and sciatica, or for anyone who would like to learn how to prevent these issues with Yamuna Body Rolling.
 
We'll begin by focusing on YBR® routines to help you restore and support healthy lower back function and build balance, strength and length in the low back and abdominals  *Hint: For those of you looking for a little psoas release, you will find it here!
 
Then, we'll progress into the middle back. Compression in this area can cause lower and upper back pain; as well neck and shoulder limited range of motion and pain. These focused routines will release tension and restrictions in the ribcage and thoracic spine for more space and freedom of breath and motion.
 
Finally, we will focus on the sternum, and upper shoulders to the scull. This is a common area of tightness and pain. These YBR® routines will decompress the thoracic and cervical vertebrae to release the tension and stress, restore alignment and range of motion, and help you create a long, strong, flexible, healthy neck.

The knee is one of the most vulnerable joints in the body because it is between the hips, and ankles and feet. If there are muscles out of balance that connect the pelvis to the thighs to the knees, it will create strain and tension in the knees. Similarly, if the feet are misaligned and have limited function, this imbalance will travel to the knees. These misalignments cause stress and tension, eventually wearing out the knee joint.

Chronic contraction of the psoas muscles limits range of movement in the hip, resulting in strain and pain in the low back and knees.
