Meet yourself where you are with Core Integrity Yoga.
Yoga Therapy for Physical, Mental, Spiritual & Emotional Balance & Wellbeing
Core Integrity Yoga is a trauma-informed, integrative approach that taps into the inherent therapeutic and empowering effects of Yoga asana, Pranayama (breathing exercises), mindfulness and meditation in order to soothe, balance and unite the body, mind, heart and spirit. Adaptable to each student's ability and needs.
I am a dedicated and passionate teacher and student of all 8 limbs of Hatha Yoga, seeking to share the Yoga tradition, lifestyle and tools with students of all ages and physical conditions for the purpose of stress and pain relief, emotional balance and personal fitness.
I created Core Integrity Yoga, a functional anatomy-based, core-centered, trauma-informed approach to Yoga in order to respond to the individual physical and emotional needs and desires of my students, and a growing need within the community to offer safe, trauma-sensitive yoga, meditation, and mindfulness instruction. By integrating the core principals of Sivananda Hatha Yoga, Core Strength Vinyasa and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga into my practice, I offer an intuitive, creative, and therapeutic Yoga experience, while providing a sacred space for each individual to tap into their own intentions and reservoir of strength and peace. Contact me for private, family and group instruction, corporate office Yoga programs, community classes, workshops, continuing education and Yamuna® and Yoga Teacher Trainings. |

![]() The art, science and mystery of yoga and meditation has been an integral part of my life for over 35 years. My path to Yoga began as a young dancer, seeking balance, strength, flexibility and muscular control. I became deeply inspired in 1989, at the age of 19, when my beloved teacher, guru, and dear friend, Kim Nichols Cech crossed my path with hers. As a member of her exciting, experimental and cutting-edge modern dance theater company named Apogee, based in Hilton Head, SC. Kim and Apogee took me to amazing heights, challenged my body, expanded my mind, nourished my soul, and opened my eyes to the healing power of movement. It was here, with Kim and Apogee, where this mysterious and wild seed of Yoga was planted in my heart. After over 20 years of self-guided study with guides such as Steve Ross (Happy Yoga), Alan Finger (Yoga Zone, Ishta Yoga), Seane Corn and my Sivananda Companion to Yoga, I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training certification in 2009, with Vastu School of Yoga, a non-profit Karma service and Sivananda Hatha Yoga teacher training center lead by the dedicated and compassionate instruction of Lal Maharajh and Lorrie (ShivaKami) Conglose. *Sivananda Yoga, originating from the teachings of Swami Sivananda, a medical doctor and Karma yogi, is a style of Hatha Yoga, focusing on the preservation of the health and wellness of the practitioner through disciplined practice of asana, pranayama, meditation and karma service. I completed my 300 hour ayurveda advanced yoga teacher training in 2018 and assist in Vastu Yoga teacher trainings. |

Sivananda Yoga is an integral style of Hatha Yoga that aims to retain the vitality of the body, slow the aging process, and decrease chance of disease by simply and naturally cultivating and nourishing the body and mind. The goal of this practice is to promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being.

Five Principles of Sivananda Yoga:
* Proper breathing: Pranayama * Exercise: Asana * Relaxation: Savasana * Vegetarian diet: Ahimsa (non-violence) * Positive Thinking & Meditation: Vedanta & Dhyana |
* The practice of Sivananda Yoga, a classical style of Hatha Yoga, revolves around Sun Salutations and the 12 basic Yoga postures (Asana), meditation, relaxation (Savasana), and emphasizes full, yogic breathing (Pranayama) to cultivate a peaceful heart and quiet mind. A typical Sivananda class includes pranayama and moves at a gentle pace, allowing for a full exploration of each pose. As a practitioner of Sivananda Yoga, you are invited to approach your practice every day as a beginner, always mindful of listening to the body and staying present with moment to moment awareness.
